Pearl Jam and Jay-Z: the strange alliance of 2012

Each year we see the odd festival with a lineup of the most unusual, but rarely (very few!) Have seen a lineup as strange as the one presented in the Made In America of Philadelphia (1 and 2 September). This festival, promoted directly by the producer / rapper Jay-Z, has included in its lineup both geniuses hip hop like Run DMC or Drake, as some current indie pop figures like Passion Pit and Miike Snow. The oddest thing of all is that in between such mixture was Pearl Jam, a group that rarely had found so out of context within a festival.

What was most amazing Made In America? Undoubtedly what happened last Sunday at the Rocky Stage. Pearl Jam were playing hard on stage when, at the end of a topic, Jay-Z joined the party. Together (PJ instrumental section and Jay-Z singing) performed the most classic of the musical career of producer: '99 Problems', that monumental hit "The Black Album" Beyoncé's husband released in late 2003.

Some will like this strange experiment. Others, however, will find it horrifying that the creators of "Ten" and "Vs" have reunited on stage with King Midas of hip hop. What we believe us? More of the former than the latter: Jay-Z as he rode a winner at his mercy, what a huge unless mounted siding with Eddie Vedder and his entourage? Not to do a simple cover at a concert was to hurt anyone!

What about you? What do you think about this explosive cocktail of scents?
