Biffy Clyro vs the shadows of hell in the video for 'Black Chandelier'

A couple of weeks ago we could enjoy the ultimate audio of Biffy Clyro. Now at last we have the chance to enjoy the new video for 'Black Chandelier', in which Simon Neil and Ben and James Johnston brothers fight side by side against a vast plague of evil creatures in dense tar smeared. Military helicopters, large panoramic angle shots of Simon and brutal mode serve exciting celebration for all those who took months and months waiting for a "Opposites" is already just around the corner.

After the boom of 'Many of Horror', Warner Bros has invested heavily in the Scots. And for now, at least for now, Biffy Clyro are working to live up to expectations thanks to two singles that make us fulminate pressing "repeat" of our personal players. Hopefully by the end of January face the double disc will bring us many, many more surprises.

The last gift of Balthazar

Belgium is fashionable in the European indie scene. The launches of bands like Creature With The Atom Brain and Absynthe Minded Balthazar now joins them. Precisely the latter two bands visited these days in Madrid and Barcelona and we have made it clear that not only chocolate and Belgians living sprouts. Musical talent is something we have to export.
But let's focus on Balthazar. The band was born in the town of Kortrijk, was founded in 2004 but it was only after several EPs that have come to the fore in recent years. Two years ago, and after winning a promising bands, released their debut album, Applause, which was a success in the underground scene of his country. His music came to the attention of several scouts and his career began to take off when they toured Europe opening for a band like dEUS world class.
In this paper we breathed a youthful freshness permeating each and every one of the songs. Without abandoning the rebellious, the band led by Maarten Deprez Jinte Devoldere and we now offer "Rats", a much more mature album and rested it again shows that, if the world is fair, Balthazar go far.
The quality of his songs and melodies manifested kept meticulous way of interpreting the chorus, which at times could get to remind bands like Fleet Foxes. But do not confuse. His proposal has nothing to do with the folk and acoustics. The pop style is rooted in these five musicians who also know flirting with rock and even dance music. That's why you are unable to listen to a topic as Later and think of a certain similarity to the sound of Phoenix. On the other hand, the voice of Devoldere can remember the moments of Nick Cave and Lou Reed.
Certainly, an interesting mix seen in songs like 'Sinking Ship', 'The Man Who Owns' or 'Any Suggestion'. The melancholy fills much of this second work in songs like 'The Oldest of Sisters', 'Joker's Son' (where the choruses are big players when rounding the track) or Sides. But all is not gloom. 'Do Not Claim Them' serves to enliven the atmosphere with a repetitive rhythm that live works perfectly.
"Rats" is therefore a much more molded disc "Applause". They are two very different jobs that offer two things that can serve different moments. The first, more lively and inviting to dance in many of his songs and the second, to serve as the perfect co-pilot on a cold autumn afternoon and it makes clear that Balthazar still has many gifts for the ride.

Green Day will also be in the Bilbao BBK Live 2013

These last hours have been most moviditas. First Soundgarden rose. Then came Mumford & Sons and, via LiveNation announced a pair of concerts in our country. And now is the people of Bilbao BBK Live 2013 and the good father bundles announced that Green Day accompany Depeche Mode headlining the famous festival Bilbao.

The trio led by Billie Joe Armstrong come to BBK to present his trilogy - "One", "Two," Tre "- in an exclusive date in our country. A complementary fashion festival Last Tour International has also confirmed the presence of other groups renown as Two Door Cinema Club, Delorean, We Are Standard, Delorentos and the one released album - 'SLNT FLM' - recently. The festive season tickets, sold from today at a price of 85 euros booking fee, you can find them through the Bilbao BBK Live website.

Or "One" or "Two" have convinced us. Even so it can be kind of interesting (and fun!) To know that Green Day will serve as a counterpoint to the serenity and maturity of a Depeche Mode that will come with a new album under his arm. The thing looks interesting, right?

Another big "hit" Swim Deep this 2012: 'Honey'

Struck first with that piece to MGMT ('King City') to praise a couple of weeks ago. Subsequently signed to RCA Records for more scoring in the shot, and now the British Swim Deep noquearnos again with a beautiful piece stylistically difficult to locate, but differs somewhat from that vibration surf-grunge that had earlier hit the accompanying 'Beach Justice '. This is titled 'Honey', will be presented as a single on November 5 on Chess Club Records is one of those songs that slowly you are becoming. Yes, the kind that you hear in the background and minute by minute you are conquering so cryptic ...

It's funny but in 'Honey', and much to his way, Austin Williams's voice reminds me of Liam Gallagher. It's like the song encontrásemos small fragments of The Rapture, The Cure and Oasis, unified by that heart so young that only sets the point home as Surfer Blood or Howler.

Undoubtedly these guys have developed a real hit as EP / LP.That did not take long to get out! 'Honey' is another demonstration of the brutal epic potential of this innocent, but fierce, Birmingham quartet.

The last cry of Hannah Cohen in 'Sorry'

They are the most delicate moments we ask those voices that say "Child Bride" Hannah Cohen on the player. Not that the disc is perfect (which it is, in fact) but the melody which is distilled in much of the compact is perfect to be enjoyed at night, in complete solitude and a glass of wine in hand . 'Sorry' is one of those issues particularly suitable to be heard in the last hour of the day and Hannah, who has no hair fool has decided officially releasing a music video to promote it.

This production, which was directed by Liliana Greenfield-Sanders, shows us a Hannah Cohen mired in a terrible state of depression. Is your only way out? Self medication. Hundreds and hundreds of pills and capsules are those that are there, available to Hannah, so that the young girl reaches completely lose their valuable northern life.

But do not let yourselves chafar much video content as we have received good news regarding the subject of this post; Hannah Cohen will be touring Europe in the coming months. Okay, the singer will not go through Spain (is that weird at this point?) But no concerts scheduled in London (double quotes), Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam and other cities of the old continent. All information of the upcoming tour can find in their official Facebook page.

Pearl Jam and Jay-Z: the strange alliance of 2012

Each year we see the odd festival with a lineup of the most unusual, but rarely (very few!) Have seen a lineup as strange as the one presented in the Made In America of Philadelphia (1 and 2 September). This festival, promoted directly by the producer / rapper Jay-Z, has included in its lineup both geniuses hip hop like Run DMC or Drake, as some current indie pop figures like Passion Pit and Miike Snow. The oddest thing of all is that in between such mixture was Pearl Jam, a group that rarely had found so out of context within a festival.

What was most amazing Made In America? Undoubtedly what happened last Sunday at the Rocky Stage. Pearl Jam were playing hard on stage when, at the end of a topic, Jay-Z joined the party. Together (PJ instrumental section and Jay-Z singing) performed the most classic of the musical career of producer: '99 Problems', that monumental hit "The Black Album" Beyoncé's husband released in late 2003.

Some will like this strange experiment. Others, however, will find it horrifying that the creators of "Ten" and "Vs" have reunited on stage with King Midas of hip hop. What we believe us? More of the former than the latter: Jay-Z as he rode a winner at his mercy, what a huge unless mounted siding with Eddie Vedder and his entourage? Not to do a simple cover at a concert was to hurt anyone!

What about you? What do you think about this explosive cocktail of scents?

The Hives, closer than ever in the video for 'Wait A Minute'

Almost three months have been more than enough to be satisfied that "Lex Hives", the latest album by The Hives, contains much crumb on catchy. You only need to see the singles: the first - 'Go Right Ahead' - has one of those choruses that devilish are left in the head and not go or dead. The second - 'Wait A Minute' - is not far behind, is to finish listening to the song and start singing in that loop of "now wait a minute, wait a minute now."

The guys from The Hives are a bit cheeky so have decided to promote this latest single with a video clip recorded only with close-ups and detailed drawings of Howlin 'Pelle Almqvist and the rest of the group. Invasions of personal space Few have been as enjoyable as this.

Indeed! Remember that The Hives will live in Spain next December. Aim well dates: 1 December in Madrid (Sala La Riviera) and 2 December in Barcelona (Sala Razzmatazz). Tickets for both events, which will teloneadas by The Bronx, can be purchased at a price of 28 euros (no fee) through the Ticketmaster network.

Top driving (Part 2 - only for rockers)

At the end of last week we published a list of Spotify to drive safely, without pressure or worries. At that time fans of acoustic music and folk / pop had their warmest gift, so that now touches the balance by publishing a list devoted specifically to the more extreme rock fans.

This is a playlist dedicated to metal, hard rock, alternative rock, classic punk and rock all those variants of the strongest. When should you listen? On party nights, crazy roadtrips or in similar situations, always lived with friends. What matters is the gap (but always using my head, of course).

Let go of taste!

A Common Cause

Combines two songwriters: Germany's greatest songwriters Weltschmerz, Gisbert zu Knyphausen and Nils Koppruch, former frontman of the band Fink-banjo player, and now are a band called Kid Kopp Hausen. On 11 September, they will present their new album "I" in amperes.
Koppruch indiepopigen sounds like Americana and Knyphausen may very well thoughtful, unobtrusive poetry texts dense. Actually, you no longer tell what the one or the other, because Koppruch Knyphausen and are now one. Both come from the quiet corner of the guitar and both sing German, lyrical, wistful lyrics.
Previously Knyphausen played as support for Koppruch. After joint tours, loitering in the rehearsal room of the other and the many musical similarities it came as it had to. From Knyphausen and Koppruch was Kid Kopp Hausen and her musical talent from the album was "I". The music is a musical ride through the American prairie, always on the search for identity in the present. There are loud drum roll, and quiet, words like black confetti and life stories of many magical images.

The concert takes place on 11 September 2012 in the amp instead. Tickets are available in advance 23.10.

Breaking the rules with style (for Jack Savoretti)

In the list of the best of the first half of 2012 occasional follower of the web was surprised to see that she appeared in "Before The Storm". Perhaps this third album by Jack Savoretti is not as raw and vibrant as' Between The Minds or 'Harder Than Easy' but we have largely praised the sound so compact that the young troubadour XXI century has been achieved with the band that secondary . 'Breaking The Rules', one of the most delicate and interesting album, already has an official music video stylized. This Jack shares the spotlight with Jemma Powell, British actress who appeared in "Alice in Wonderland," which premiered in 2010 Tim Burton.

This production manages to capture in pictures the aura of gallant Savoretti has characterized over recent years. Attitude, style, class, elegance ... Jack combines everything and 'Breaking The Rules' is just further proof of why there is a legion of British females who worship and praise.

Munich's Gossip Girl

simonegucktkomisch
Young author Simone Bauer has spoken with her two new books about mucbook. But also on home feeling, the city of contrasts, and Chick-Lit. The 22-year-old ordered a chocolate milkshake in cafe costume Vogl and smiles a broad, confident smile. A small brilliant sparkles on one of her canines. She is just passing through, will soon be on the Leeds Festival and cheer their favorite band placebo. Yet she found time to mucbook American about their preferences, Bavarian properties and feminist views to speak.
In your first novel, "Most decidedly undecided" does your main character that you are a weekend at Lake Chiemsee is glamorous enough. Apparently you like glamor, for in your new book, "Schwabing" is about the posh scene in Munich. Are you part of the scene? What fascinates you about it so much that you wanted to implement it in a book?I grew up with MTV. Did these American shows with Paris Hilton and Gossip Girl looked as if it had read my Bible. That's why I was always fascinated by how the elite live Sun Then I watched a lot of Kir Royal and I eventually asked how this would look like today. But not with Zettl scene with a young journalist from Berlin. The posh scene is not Mine, but I find it very interesting. I just like to stare.
You are a Wahlmünchnerin, come from Maxhütte-Heithof, near Regensburg. Why do you like Munich so much?Munich is a city of contrasts. We have a great music and fashion scene, but knows that no one outside of Munich. We also have a great indie scene and its opposite: the Schickimickiszene. The city is large, but still like a little village. I like that very much of Munich.
Do you feel a certain amount of local ties, if you leave the city and return back to it, where did you grow up?"Home is where the heart is" I always say. But Munich is still the most beautiful city in the world. I also like Berlin and New York love. It is difficult to say where I'm at home. I think I'm at home, where I feel comfortable - and that can be anywhere.
In your first book you're working the contrast vs. Bayern. America out.I myself am also very contradictory, and can I choose poorly. In the past two years, I have a lot of vacation in New York, California, Arizona and Florida made. I've met real small girl dreams: riding in the Grand Canyon, shopping in New York or a Gossip Girl-on-location tour. I like the American openness. I am also glad and happy from Bavaria, Bavarian properties to have.
What are your Bavarian properties? If a topic is not controlled by Bayer, he's just quiet and not around sounds. I do not know. And I can be very stubborn.
Now a question, you'll probably ask in every interview. Did you "Axolotl Roadkill" and "wetlands" read? The publication of my short story "Munich Girl" has been postponed because of all the scandal of "Axolotl Roadkill" backwards. "Strobe," the novel of the Helene Hegemann had copied is like my short story in Sukultur Verlag. Of course, I then also a little in "Axolotl Roadkill" read into. "Wetlands" I read three times determined. I like her, while I'm not a fan of "lap prayers" bin. I think that is because of "womb prayers," the autobiographical aspect of the size. I had an incredible fan of Charlotte Roche, was still on MTV her times. I was at a reading and have a photo with her. Really starstruck.
Does it shock as a young writer inevitably, to be successful?I think that it's like pop music, when the star is off, or dance in skimpy clothes in music videos. I recently had an interview with Marina Marina and the diamonds, which she has even asked if they provoke is essential. If you want to sell many records, you have to be sexy. But they would not. For me it is the same. If I was going to write with as many guns and drug abuse, then would not the authentic manner. So I'd rather stay with what I like.
Your protagonist, Joan likes chocolate and likes to wear dresses and flowers can not drive - the cliché woman. How typical woman are you?Unfortunately, I confirm this stereotype. I can not drive at all. Eventually I got used to it, it can never have friends, chauffeured me around. And finally, I was sad and I have eaten an entire chocolate shoe. After that I really better. I am also invested very feminist. I get the crisis, when a man can hang out, or the macho women are disadvantaged.
In "Most decidedly undecided" is your main character but leaves very unterbuttern by her boyfriend.I've heard from two independent readers that they have made after reading my book with her boyfriend. It's just so blinded by love, all this makes for a man and forget that you also have a right to know that it helps in the household. My book was a wake up call for many to sell the rose-colored glasses and stand your wife.
You say yourself that you are on Chick-Lit. Your inspiration is "Gossip Girl," "Gilmore Girls" and Sarah Kuttner. Why? What fascinates you from exactly?I define myself very excited about the dialogues. Typical for the Gilmore Girls is indeed the constant exchange of blows and the ingenious sets. Sarah Kuttner also has a crazy language. And even with Gossip Girl tells everyone what he thinks. There is nothing better than when you can call in and throw balls back and forth outdo.
Why did your first book is about young people not to drink alcohol? Do you drink alcohol itself also? Do you have experience with alcohol and peer pressure made when you were younger, or is it more of a teaching position at the young reader?I never felt that I need alcohol to be open and relaxed, it was too expensive and has never tasted me. Actually, I wanted to write a book about a young woman in the Straight Edge scene. But then my editor suggested a book to write about youth and youth because I myself like to read books, I liked the idea. There is little biographical, except for the fact that I know what you're gonna hear it for awards, if you drink alcohol.
Such as?For example, one encounters on total incomprehension. Or people say, "You will have some time with it." But I had never had such problems as bullying my main character, Emma, my friends are very open, which has disturbed anybody. I voted for "alcohol free" time again sprout pad ensures a Dreamboy, holding her, but really loves another. So I again created a beautiful, healthy world.
Simone Bauer writes stories since she was 14 and she has published short stories, 16th 2011, she published her first novel, "Most decidedly undecided." On 1 September, the 22-year-old is now publishing two more books in the Schwarzkopf & Schwarzkopf Verlag, "alcohol free" and "Schwabing". In addition to her work as a personal assistant in public relations, she writes for the Young People section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, LAXmag, and MISSY MyFanbase magazine.

Philipp Poisel - a private pop star

PP

Philipp Poisel gives us exactly what we need now and then. One serving of pathos and melancholy lyrical heartbreak. At his concert tour "Project Water Lily Pond," the singer-songwriter to create an intimate atmosphere for his music, which consists of casual, delicate guitar sounds and well-considered, unused texts.
His first two albums, "Where does your sky?" And "Up to Toulouse" sold over a quarter million copies of his live shows coming up to 100,000 people. A real pop star to be but was never his intention. That does not fit so well to his music, where you would rather dimly lit living room into a desire, far from the hustle and bustle of the world. Therefore, Philipp Poisel has after a busy festival summer 2011 retired with his concert tour "Project Water Lily Pond" prefer the intimacy of the small stage moments. He gives insight into his own universe and bring again to light, what makes his music so special: crackling loneliness.
The highlight of his concert tour presented the Ludwigsburg a "Dream Theater vaudeville circus show-concert" at the Circus Krone in which a live CD (released on 17.8) and a DVD have been created. This winter, Philipp Poisel again with the "Water Lily Pond Project" on the trip. After Munich, the magical place of Circus Krone Philipp Poisel versa on 8 Back in December 2012 and promises to "Three hours spine-tingling feeling" (Swabian Post Office).

Apparently Sly was turning into an acoustic tour, and on 8 September and was scheduled a new concert date of No Use For A Name. Gold albums unforgettable: "Strength In Numbers" UTAH

Last night a fan of the Facebook website told us that had been recommended by Binaural.es in "Critical Eye" RNE. I could not help get excited to play such a program. As I listened to the comments of the announcers began to remember some of those forgotten records that led me to start this modest blog. One of them was one that was years since I put on my iPod, but still continues today, somewhere hidden in my heart. The LP in question is "Strength In Numbers", the debut album of a little band called UTAH.
UTAH quintet was born in Aarhus in 2005 that an alternative rock flying very close to that much like in Denmark in the mid-90. The influence of first-Kashmir was more than obvious, but we got a glimpse of much more than that in the eleven tracks that completed the compact. In its own way "Strength In Numbers" has always reminded me a perfect puzzle where all the pieces, despite being different fit.
No wonder at all that from the very beginning the renowned Scandinavian label Playground Music is set at Both Jesper and company. Each and every one of the tracks on the album has a special magic from 'Peace Of Mind' to these two parts rock dirty and brutally titled 'Come Home' coming to a close the album tremendously. What topics would stay in "Strength In Numbers"? Tough choice. Something for everyone: a half times, chestnuts guitarfish as the already mentioned "Come Home Part. I "or ballads of the most digestible. Nevertheless I have always felt a special fondness for the melodic 'Alien Battle', for 'Break The Mould' (where the voice of Jesper get going until the farthest corners of the Milky Way) and "Crash & Burn ', a issue clear / dark could well be the 'The Funeral' (Band Of Horses) in Danish key. Very careful with the end of this last song: go strake piece guitar / drums that stick in there!.
Maybe the website of these guys is half destroyed, and that not even in Denmark people remember them. But the reality is that in 2007 these guys came to impress me with a "Strength In Numbers" reaching a note that it could be argued that the excellent scratch. From here just ask you to give him a chance, if any of you hits 10% of what struck me at the time me and I will be more than happy. Is that what this is about what to write on this site, right? ;). Magic.

John Mayer - Born And Raised (2012)

Then came the era of change for John Mayer. No more bowing to Eric Clapton, and also the slow ballads that would break your heart direct. He had to mature, it was just and necessary. The days of cheap talk and childish things should give way to something new, something more serene and evolved. And this is what we have enjoyed in a "Born and Raised" in which John Mayer has taken its acoustics and has delighted us with a melodic, slow, hard country folk with shades.

Far from being situated in a crude level the creator of "Room For Squares" has opted for a very sweet and accessible online, where the simplicity of their songs comes even to be excessive for a disk of Mayer. The LP features the odd great topic as the powerful 'Age Of Worry' or the delicious' Born and Raised ". Even so it must be admitted that this work is the weakest of the considerable discography of Mayer that, despite being in their best personal moment, lost in nature and, above all, in plasticity. Unlike its previous compact, "Born and Raised" is easy to forget and that has saddened knowing that Mayer was a big thing to develop works that improve over time. That good wine again!
