John Mayer - Born And Raised (2012)
Then came the era of change for John Mayer. No more bowing to Eric Clapton, and also the slow ballads that would break your heart direct. He had to mature, it was just and necessary. The days of cheap talk and childish things should give way to something new, something more serene and evolved. And this is what we have enjoyed in a "Born and Raised" in which John Mayer has taken its acoustics and has delighted us with a melodic, slow, hard country folk with shades.
Far from being situated in a crude level the creator of "Room For Squares" has opted for a very sweet and accessible online, where the simplicity of their songs comes even to be excessive for a disk of Mayer. The LP features the odd great topic as the powerful 'Age Of Worry' or the delicious' Born and Raised ". Even so it must be admitted that this work is the weakest of the considerable discography of Mayer that, despite being in their best personal moment, lost in nature and, above all, in plasticity. Unlike its previous compact, "Born and Raised" is easy to forget and that has saddened knowing that Mayer was a big thing to develop works that improve over time. That good wine again!

The XX haunt the set of the Conan show with 'Angels'
These days The XX are at the top of promotional events. The release of "Coexist" (Sept. 11) is getting closer and that is driving London to appear everywhere. The last program you have come is that of Conan, where Romy, and Jamie Oliver to be seized with the public through the interpretation of his last great single by the name of 'Angels'.
The staging was as sober as ever, with Romy Madley Croft as static and cold as any of the direct The XX have been made in recent years. Even so 'Angels' is one of those cuts that engages as it is impossible not to see some warmth in the heart of this topic. There are a lot of crumbs in the piece, and its chorus - "... They would be as in love with you as I am ..." - is the greatest example of the power provided by this simple romantic.
If you go The XX can not help but enjoy this action, nor of the different items that the kids in the UK just go to their official store. The XX are apparently preparing a special box set on vinyl of "Coexist" which will be offered a 7 "for each of the songs on the release. Id periodically entering your Store to be aware of all the latest developments.

Free and very good: Ambient by Earlyguard
Ambient music is not for everyone, I know. Not
everyone wants or can be a quiet, peaceful, slow-flowing music, better
sound with no (or little) engage rhythm without
verse-chorus-verse-scheme without hooks on a wall of sound that is
usually generated electronically. However, I need this music as a counterpart for over-excitement, I felt my senses every day. Ambient music is just as sound experience, the perception is not (ideally) overlaid by other things.
Because of my excursions into the wide world of free music, I've gotten to know many ambient artists. Could assign your own new label - because there if you listen closely, there are main differences for you - if you will. Or you can simply listen and those artists who appeal to a most and leave the drawers of the Nerds.
One of the musicians who appeal to me from the ambient field most of the morning watch is also known as Thomas Dortmund are Earlyguard whose extremely slow, quiet flowing of my favorite publications. His slow-moving, subtle, delicate balance of music seems to me highly soothing and relaxing, without tiring me.
And his EP "Far Out," which he recorded with his daughter Melina and that its recent publication "The Gaia Theory" (from the sound sample "Surrounded by Life" comes from). These three publications you have a good overview of the range of his music. Who likes what he gets there to hear, should necessarily listen even in the 180-minute "禅 Zen," and probably be reduziertestes kryptischstes work.
Conclusion: There is a lot to discover. By the way: Since December Earlyguard published every month a new and excellent album - and of fatigue or repetition is so far no trace. I'm just waiting on the next album.

Throws: Gaturro: How do you say "veteran" in English? "Go away, frog"
I love this strip Gaturro! :) After analyzing the "translations" of Gaturro, we will try to create a list of bilingual puns as Gaturro wrote in his English exam. Tip: Try to find words within other words, perhaps with a vocabulary list from a textbook.
Drop down to write: Gaturro: How do you say "veteran" in English? "Go away, frog"

Sometimes we find it difficult to be creative when writing, especially when trying to write something original in a foreign language. So I created this series of creative writing activities, entitled Drop to escibir!, Which uses the comics for inspiration.

Hollywood on the Eisbach
A student is funded livelihood by regular sperm donation. He is a drive-less contemporary, is more than pretty bad through life. After years it brings the story to the sperm donation again. From his student jobs are created over 500 children and 142 of them complain now together getting to know her father. "Starbuck" is the name of the movie - and it opened this year the 30th Munich Film Festival.
The Munich Film Festival will present 29 June to 07 July again international films in the Bavarian capital. In six cinemas in Munich 186 films from 47 countries. Melanie Griffith will guest star as an event and gives the Hollywood touch.
In the Spotlight series of the Film Festival 31 films from 20 countries with big names. The Independents Rurbik International offers independent films from around the world a stage. The competition series Cinevision Cinema Planters and come up with movie prizes for the best established and upcoming directors.
A major topic of the film festival are the new heroes that take place in the context of poverty and migration on their way. In addition to a retrospective of Todd Haynes film shows the hard work of Rainer Werner Fassbinder, who died in 2012 at 30 Time marks.
Junior Giants hero Siegfried forces Mime and blacksmith would use it for is to bring the Ring Cycle in itself, because this means endless power. However, the guarded by a giant who has been transformed into a dragon. Mime is now desperate, a sword that Siegfried can withstand forces to forge, but he does not succeed. As Siegfried sets himself on hands and forge a new from the fragments of Excalibur, the sword of his father Siegmund. To use all anger must mime his head even as security in a quiz and Wotan, the one-million-euro question to answer, unfortunately not. Wotan in the shape of the Wanderers he prophesied that Siegfried as one who is able to forge new Excalibur, will be his executioner.
siegfried1Also must relinquish Siegfried. A mixed flight Zaubertränkchen that will incapacitate, Siegfried, when he captured the ring. Siegfried kills the dragon, costs of his blood, and can at once understand the birds in the forest. One warns him of Mime, which he then promptly kills Wotan's prophecy and thus can be true. Guided by Waldvogel he finds Brünnhilde on her rock, by her father Wotan in the previous section, The Valkyrie, was exiled there. He mastered all the dangers and can win Brünnhilde for themselves. Whether they are still living or died, then we learn in the last part of Götterdämmerung.
It's always easier to agree on a, shall we say non-traditional staging involved, if you previously have no other has seen. For me it was the first Siegfried and I enjoyed the evening very well. Director Andreas Kriegenburg has closely listened to the music and then put into motion. There are lots of really great directorial ideas, such as that Siegfried the magic potion that will kill him, actually, on his sword drips and mime, it later licks, appropriate to the text as "Taste 'you my sword, nasty gossip!" (Wagner stood on alliteration) and mime to accidentally kills himself and is not slain by Siegfried. Or mime, which looks like a nerd and constantly pushes his glasses on his nose and Siegfried mimics him in this movement. There are so many incredible hidden details there that I would like to see me again. Of course, missing in this production days implications, but you need the really good?
siegfried2Die stage of Harald B. Thor is really worth seeing, for it consists largely of people. The dragon (you can see only his head) is made up of extras, like the fire to Brünnhilde's rock, or the trees in the forest. It has something playful and poetic, like all awarded to the piece. What else is on stage structures that form as Mime's smithy, including from the extras, maintained and dismantled. Really impressive and the audience thanked with loud applause for this great achievement.
Musically it was a scenic and exhilarating evening! Lance Ryan is a very young hero, but he pushed it certainly is not easy part, as if he does this every night twice. In the game he was, like all his fellow singers, very well, and brought every facet of his role (rascal, hero, lover) believable on stage. Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke as Mime was also terrific. Catherine Naglestad touched me very much and as Brunnhilde Anna Virovlansky enchanted forest as a bird. Wolfgang Koch was an impressive Alberich and Rafal Siwek was a powerful voice of the dragon, while Thomas J. Mayer and Jill Grove as Erda hikers were rather pale. The orchestra under Kent Nagano was excellent, I was assured from an authoritative source, even I can not judge the likely Sun Definitely a night I would like to repeat again.

Enough food for seven billion? Pantry at the Tollwood
Since last weekend the Tollwood Sommerfestial in the Olympic Park in Munich in full swing. Until 24.07.2012, this event is open and that their motto of "Great Expectations" can be interpreted in many different ways, we have been trying to clarify in our previous coverage of the Toll Wood (see "Current Highlights" on the top right of this page) . Looking at the issue of world food, so there for us in the developed countries to open our refrigerator while permanent "bright prospects", but the food goes on the planet for seven billion? This question goes to the pantry in the middle of Tollwood summer festivals.
The pantry would open new perspectives for a world of hunger and disposable society. The walk-in chamber informs visitors about global food security, consumerism and organic farming. On the walls hang "blooming garden", the jars on the shelves are a reflection of the richness and variety of food that the earth offers us. But a second glance revealed: This pantry is filled not long ago for all so lush.
How can seven billion people every day enough? While this country, half of all food - eleven million tons per year in Germany alone - in the waste lands elsewhere starve ten million people, a billion goes to bed with empty stomachs. In 2012, the first year of the UN Decade of Nutrition, the world is still divided between hunger and abundance. The storehouse of natural land and Tollwood therefore invites a change in perspective and shows how everyone can be satisfied without exceeding the ecological limits of our planet.
One thing is clear: At a recent nutrition awareness, an appreciative handling of food, more organic farming and a more equitable distribution is no other way.
Please support Oxfam's call to "play with your food you can not!" With your virtual signature!
Also visit the pantry on the Tollwood summer festival in the period from 29.06. until 07.24.2012 in the Olympic Park in southern Munich.

Listen to two new singles from Blur
Blur yesterday wanted to imitate the Beatles playing on the roof of a building Britain. To make the most interesting thing Damon Albarn's band performed two new songs, 'Under The Westway' and 'The Puritan' which surprised all who followed the event in streaming. Fortunately, and not to further fuel the desire for their fans, the guys from Blur network rose shortly after the studio versions of both songs. You can listen through that embeds attached below (and also direct 'The Puritan').
While 'Under The Westway' is a very softened and melodic piece, 'The Puritan' part as a cutting quite blunt synth-pop. These two releases serve as a promotional support for the launch of the collection of 21 albums! Blur will bail the sale on July 30. This pack will be blessed reissued versions of its seven albums and mountains and mountains of unreleased material.
I almost forgot to mention that the single 'Under The Westway' (including 'The Puritan') can be purchased both in digital format via iTunes Store as 7 inch vinyl.

The rustic life of Angus Stone in the video for 'Wooden Chair'
Some will find it a "poser" to use, and others a guy with personality and talent. I personally love Angus Stone. The architect of more than correct "Broken Brights" has always been clear as a guy, a lover of "fair play" (do not know him too controversial) and a knack for creating catchy melodies as folk as' Wooden Chair 'latest single which already has a beautiful video clip you can enjoy in this same entry.
Nature has always been featured in the clips of Angus, and 'Wooden Chair' not found exception. From start to see the Australian dandy reading, jumping and running in a rustic and green landscape located in Byron Bay, a town southeast of the country of origin. The director of this beautiful work of art is Kiku Ohe, who already was behind the camera in the clips of 'Big Jet Plane' and 'Hold On' by Angus & Julia Stone.
We recall that "Broken Brights" will go on sale in Europe next July 16.
