Ambient music is not for everyone, I know. Not
everyone wants or can be a quiet, peaceful, slow-flowing music, better
sound with no (or little) engage rhythm without
verse-chorus-verse-scheme without hooks on a wall of sound that is
usually generated electronically. However, I need this music as a counterpart for over-excitement, I felt my senses every day. Ambient music is just as sound experience, the perception is not (ideally) overlaid by other things.
Because of my excursions into the wide world of free music, I've gotten to know many ambient artists. Could assign your own new label - because there if you listen closely, there are main differences for you - if you will. Or you can simply listen and those artists who appeal to a most and leave the drawers of the Nerds.
One
of the musicians who appeal to me from the ambient field most of the
morning watch is also known as Thomas Dortmund are Earlyguard whose
extremely slow, quiet flowing of my favorite publications. His slow-moving, subtle, delicate balance of music seems to me highly soothing and relaxing, without tiring me.
And
his EP "Far Out," which he recorded with his daughter Melina and that
its recent publication "The Gaia Theory" (from the sound sample
"Surrounded by Life" comes from). These three publications you have a good overview of the range of his music. Who
likes what he gets there to hear, should necessarily listen even in the
180-minute "禅 Zen," and probably be reduziertestes kryptischstes work.
Conclusion: There is a lot to discover. By
the way: Since December Earlyguard published every month a new and
excellent album - and of fatigue or repetition is so far no trace. I'm just waiting on the next album.
